A hyper modern take on prints wonderfully realized at Christopher Kane and Mary Katrantzou, and spotted at newcomer Lissy Vercade scarves. Color intensity amps the style but it’s the mind games that set the tone. Paying homage to the futuristic spirit of Rooney Mara, tech geniuses and sci-fi enthusiasts.
Resort came out last week and I am already over summer and fall. Burberry showed spectacular hero skirts, the kind that save the day from fashion disaster. Looking 2 seasons ahead may sound a bit obsessive, but gives me a goal while keeping my focus sharp and my wardrobe lean. I’ve found a worthy target.
Too many beautiful choices! What’s your preference for a spectacular European wedding? I am looking to infuse a touch of Austrian architect Josef Hoffman whose brilliant interiors from post WWI (1902-1913) have captured my fancy. His home town of Vienna is known for it’s modernism fused with individual diversity. Both minimalist and romantic, fragile and forceful, these sirens have restrained decadence and they’re singing my song.
In preparation for spring purchases, I’ve done a lot of thinking about what mood I will be in during the upcoming months. It’s about the weather and the light foremost, but my wardrobe forecast also includes internal considerations. Career goals, personal milestones and romantic fantasies all come into play. These images below caught my eye and got me thinking….
Soft tones that mix with all tones of brown to encourage a natural palette, minimal beauty routine and lightness of being. Mixing easy patterns that add spirit and cheer to simplistic warm weather dressing (so I don’t lose my edge). The cummerbund as accessory. More forgiving that a traditional belt and so much more exotic. Easily created with a beautiful scarf for a chic effect encompassing color and pattern.
Volume and skin. While baring plenty of creamy skin, volume adds elegant modesty leaving the imagination free to roam.
Staggered hemlines. They swish when you walk and enhance legs marvelously while opening up a variety shoe silhouette options.
The color blue, with vintage overtones, mixed with black and silver. Relaxing to the eye and universally appealing, she has timeless depth in this shot. Androgyny refreshes me during the passion months.

(It features a padded top, shhhhh.)
With a trip to L.A.’s glorious Four Seasons hotel booked at the end of this month, I plan to dip in for a swim at their fabulous roof top oasis, add a slit open maxi skirt and booties a la Balenciaga, then whisk off to the Paris Photo Art Fair I am attending with several industry VIP’s. Et Voila! http://shop.lilibonswimwear.com/
