Packing for a vacation with my lover, a visit with family or an exciting business trip is full of possibility for re-invention.  I start by infusing my mind with idealism. The first thought is always how exotic, rare and refined this escape will be setting the tone for an elaborate wardrobe. Reality hits as I peer at the size of my Jack Spade carry-on luggage. Being the largest and most defining component, I start with shoes based on the terrain both physical and emotional. I’m traveling to St. Barth’s in late February where my husband and I will be visiting a super luxe German couple with renown statuesque beauty, so the stakes are high. I want to shine, attract, seduce and entertain, all while relaxing without a care. So the hard work will all be done beforehand.  Stay tuned for part II where I’ll take you through the process.
